HONDA Accord自去年五月上市以來，在消費者不錯的口碑之下，銷售穩定成長，五月份即將推出3.0升車款，目前接單已破150台，售價109萬元。Accord 3000 VTEC與2.0之間有何配備上的差異？價格是否合理？在市場上能與Cefiro一較長短嗎？
Accord 3000 VTEC搭載的3.0升V6引擎，使用SOHC VTEC系統，最大馬力高達200PS/5500rpm，最大扭力為27.0kgm/4700rpm，再度刷新國產車引擎動力新紀錄。NISSAN Cefiro 3.0的引擎數據為193hp/6400rpm、26.0kgm/4000rpm。
這具V6引擎使用的VTEC系統基本上與2.0升直列四缸SOHC VTEC具有相同的原理，中低轉速區域時一進氣門全開，另一進氣門微微開啟，產生進氣渦流，增加燃燒效率並提高扭力，高轉速時以高角度凸輪同時開啟兩個進氣門，增加進氣效率，有效提升馬力，因此即便此VTEC V6系統在HONDA引擎家族中的定位是「經濟取向」，但仍能發揮200PS的優異動力。
除了引擎之外，Accord 3000 VTEC的外觀也有明確的改變，水箱罩比2.0升車款更顯眼，中間多了一條鍍鉻的橫條，車尾部份則在行李箱蓋下緣增加了鍍鉻飾條，排氣尾管左右各一，頗具房跑車的架勢。
Accord 3000VTEC仍採PROGRESS-DC智慧型邏輯變速系統，能在不同的路況自動選擇最佳的檔位。5-Link多連桿後懸吊系統兼具舒適與精確的操控。新增的高科技配備有2-DIN音響搭配AFB音聲回溯系統，專利自動鷹眼光源感知頭燈、天窗、倒車警示雷達（含LCD顯示幕）。豪華配備方面，內裝全面採用雙色調米色系搭配核桃木紋飾板，原廠真皮座椅、門飾板，真皮包覆核桃木方向盤，扶手內裝置CD換片箱....。
安全配備方面，全車採用UV CUT抗紫外線隔熱玻璃，雙前座SRS氣囊、四輪碟煞+ABS。並採用HONDA原廠三合一防盜系統，具有遙控、防盜與車輛禁制移動系統(Immobilizer)，加上國內最受歡迎的「終極自排鎖」，使車輛與駕駛人的安全性獲得最大的保障。
