HONDA向MAZDA購買後輪驅動組件，S2000與Miata扯上血緣關係！

日本本田公司表示他們與MAZDA汽車已達成傳動系統零組件的採購協議，MAZDA提供後輪驅動系統的零組件給HONDA S2000敞篷小跑車之用。
上週四HONDA正式發表了S2000，雙座、前置引擎、後輪驅動的設計是1990年NSX發表以來第一部後輪驅動的HONDA跑車，眾所皆知，HONDA所有的其他車型都是前置引擎、前輪驅動的設計。
HONDA內部人員表示，HONDA向MAZDA購買的差速齒輪，正是MAZDA的敞篷小跑車∼MX-5 Roadster車上所使用的零件。這是HONDA有史以來第一次向競爭對手購買關鍵性的驅動組件。
Kevin個人認為，HONDA此舉主要的目的應是節省研發成本，讓S2000成為便宜又高性能、值得蒐藏的本田五十周年紀念車，而MAZDA MX-5 Miata的後輪驅動系統行之有年，在市場上經過嚴苛的考驗，種種因素使得S2000與Miata稍微扯上了一些血緣關係。
