HONDA第七代Accord將於9月9日在美國當地發表

HONDA第七代Accord即將率先在2002年9月9日於美國地區發表，這款全新一代Accord是HONDA針對北美市場量身開發的車款，因此無論在引擎調校、內裝風格、空間水準等方面皆有更精進的粹變。
全新北美版Accord仍然提供四門轎車、雙門Coupe作選擇。另外，全新北美版Accord也將搭載由HONDA旗下2000c.c引擎為基礎、增加排氣量的2400c.c DOHC i-VTEC引擎（馬力160hp、扭力22.2kg-m），及同樣經過重新調校的3000c.c V型六氣缸VTEC引擎（馬力240hp、扭力29.2kg-m），與上一代Accord 3000c.c V6引擎相較，七代Accord 3.0整整多出40匹馬力；全新北美版Accord將配備5速自排變速箱（全車系）、5速手排變速箱（僅搭載在2.4升Sedan和Coupe車型上）、全新開發的6速手排變速箱（僅搭載在3.0升V6 Coupe車型上）。與上一代Accord相比，全新Accord在車長、車寬、車高、軸距分別增加了2mm、29mm、5mm、35mm，達到了4813mm（車長）、1815mm（車寬）、1450mm（車高）、2740mm（軸距），與其它競爭對手相較，如：VW Passat、TOYOTA Camry、MAZDA 6等車款，全新Accord在車身尺寸上將具有相當的優勢，而雙門Coupe車型的車身尺寸分別為4765mm（車長）、1811mm（車寬）、1415mm（車高）、2670mm（軸距）；全新Accord除了日前本報曾報導過將配備與IBM共同開發之語音導航系統外，更是擁有多項體貼乘客的內裝配備，如：左右獨立恆溫空調、自發光式儀表等。
