台灣本田汽車日前宣佈，從今年11月份起，第七代國產新Accord就會開始販售，正式投入2.0升轎車的市場大戰中。然而，在對岸的中國大陸，由廣州本田所生產的七代Accord（當地稱為雅閣）早就賣翻天了！甚至還因為太受歡迎，目前缺車的情形非常嚴重，北京甚至傳出訂車後要等一年才能拿到車的消息，令人咋舌。
廣州本田新雅閣（Accord）的熱銷，特別以北京、廣州和浙江等地為最，不過最近在北京傳出當地消費者在北京的任何一家廣本的特約銷售服務店訂購雅閣，都要等到明年甚至是後年才能提到車，這種情形除了顯示雅閣受到消費者喜愛之外，也再度透露了目前廣州本田的產能嚴重不足，也難怪本田要積極與東風汽車洽談合作生產的事宜。
據悉，目前廣州本田每家特約經銷商尚未提到車的登記數字都超過了4000輛，而單在北京的有效訂購總量也已經超過了15000輛，但是每家經銷商每月的新雅閣出貨台數只有100輛，因此，粗略估算消費者至少要在半年甚至一年以後才能提到新車，當地的新雅閣簡直可以用「你有錢也買不到」來形容。
而看著消費者買不到車，廣州本田也只能對產能狀況嘆息，雖然在今年初新雅閣推出的同時，廣州本田也完成了12萬輛車的產能改造，但產能擴張的速度還是跟不上市場需求的增長，甚至還有「不肖車蟲」加價哄抬的不名譽情事發生，令廣州本田十分頭疼。而面對即將在9月推出的經濟型轎車－飛度（Fit），廣州本田若不能及時與東風汽車合作解決產能的擴充，那麼勢必對本田在中國的銷售造成反效果。
不過，廣州本田表示，到明年年初，將完成24萬輛的產能改造，全中國的特約銷售店也將增加到200家。而從Accord在中國這樣熱銷的情況看來，以兩岸華人相近的市場口味，來進行預測，說不訂屆時Accord在台上市後也會有不錯的表現喔。
