2004年式HONDA S2000小改款大搞擴心手術！

自從1999年四月本田推出S2000以來，可以說稱為新一代本田性能圖騰絕不為過，在過去數年間本田原廠也推出過不少特殊式樣車型，不過這次原廠可是來真的！不僅為換上排氣量更大的動力系統，也是S2000有史以來最大幅度的一次改款！
動力系統方面，原有的2.0升引擎經過原廠擴缸，將排氣量提升至2.2升的水準，儘管最大馬力依然維持與2003年式相同的240hp，但是壓縮比從原有的11.0提升到11.1之後，原廠也針對過去外界對於S2000中低轉速扭力輸出表現的疵議進行修正，讓峰值扭力從原有的21.2kgm/7500rpm提升為22.2kgm/6500rpm，扭力輸出峰值的引擎轉速提前了1000rpm，在引擎轉速1000-8000轉的範圍中，扭力輸出在各轉速域擁有4-10％不等的進步。
此外，針對外界對於原有S2000轉向過度的批評上，原廠也有著善意回應，懸吊系統的重新修正，搭配前215/45、後245/45（原來是前205/55、後225/50）的低扁平比輪胎，不僅讓S2000的轉向表現更趨於中性，同時也提升了車輛過彎時的反應限界；外觀上，2004年式的小改款S2000擁有全新設計的前下巴與後保桿，而乘員的肩部空間也因為門板重新設計而有了明顯的改善；北美本田也在日前公佈了全新的售價，在北美當地只要32600美元就可以把2004年式小改款S2000這輛樂趣十足的勁駒開回家！
