2004年式小改款雙燃料動力車HONDA Insight正式在日本發賣！

於1999年上市的Insight，是一輛油電混和動力車款，其搭載名為IMA SYSTEM之動力系統，是由一具1.0升VTEC汽油引擎，與一具可利用煞車熱能轉換為電力的MF2電動馬達組成的，使Insight擁有35km/l的驚人省油效率本田Insight在美國獲得環境保護工程獎，正當這輛車達到每加侖70英哩紀錄的同時，也同時符合美國EPA環境保護局的2000年規範，並沒有因為超省油的關係而使排出的廢氣超過標準，不過在過去數年由於實用性與售價的考量，表現並不如預期優異….。
儘管HONDA Insight在美國的能源效率組織協調會ACEEE所發行的刊物中，也被列入Greener Choices 2000的名單之中，在與環境保護有相當貢獻的汽車與卡車中，他們也給予Honda Insight極高的評價，正因為在環境保護以及能源的節省上獲得獎項，Honda本田也得到2000年設計工程學獎，這並不只是汽車創造與改革的榮耀，也是在汽車科技、家庭生活、戶外活動的共同改革，Honda Insight為人類所帶來的除了環保之外，給予下一代有絕對正面的影響。
此外，其以低風阻的車身設計，以及大量運用鋁合金及樹脂材質，所製成的超輕量化車身骨架與鈑件，都是造就Insight省油效能的功臣。而它在低廢氣排放的效能上同樣極具水準；不過限於其配備上較為陽春的缺陷，本田在日前發表了2004年式的小改款車系，並且將自即日起在日本各地正式販售，並且導入了全新的黑米雙色內裝，並且提供車用電腦與資訊娛樂系統等多項選用配備，還將原廠車用防盜系統列為標準配置，至於即將在日本上市的車型，則分為五速手排CVT無段變速自排兩種配置，起始售價分別為210與218萬元日幣，預計年底前本田原廠希望可以接到60張新車訂單！
