HONDA也有3L奇蹟！ Accord 2.2 i-CTDi 超省油！！

三公升燃油跑100公里，已經不再是小車的專利了，HONDA車廠證明了不須向油耗妥協而選擇小車，即使是Accord這種中大型房車，也能有令人滿意的油耗與性能表現。
為了切入歐洲急劇增長的柴油引擎市場，HONDA推出了全新的Accord 2.2 i-CTDi Sport柴油引擎車款，並且在德國的Papenburg環型測試道上創下驚人的壯舉﹔在FIA組織的認證之下，Accord 2.2 i-CTDi Sport挑戰了19項B級房車的速度紀錄，而且平均燃油消耗竟然達到平均3.07公升可跑100公里的驚人紀錄！小車省油不算什麼，大車省油才有看頭！！
這項任務的執行者，則是英國專業賽車手Robin Liddell與自由記者Iain Robertson，他們各駕駛由FIA官員所隨機挑選的二輛Accord 2.2 i-CTDi Sport（車上除了追加防滾籠／賽車安全帶／無線電之外，與市售車型並無不同的變動），在環狀測試道上挑戰包含八分之一英哩／四分之一英哩／一英哩／十英哩／一百英哩／五百英哩／一千英哩／500公尺／一公里／十公里／一百公里／五百公里／一千公里的綜合加速與平均速度的各項紀錄，然後離開Papenburg測試道前往法蘭克福附近的Wiesbaden進行一般道路油耗測試，測試路程長達419英哩（約670公里）。
HONDA這次測試的目的在於要證明性能與經濟性是可兼顧的，在速度紀錄的挑戰方面，Accord 2.2 i-CTDi Sport成功地挑戰了一英哩靜止加速（84.25mph／約134.8km/h）與行進間加速的紀錄（133.04mph／約212.9km/h），以及24小時耐久接力的紀錄（130.38mph／約208.6km/h），並達成平均3.07公升燃油行駛100公里的超優異表現。
除了令人讚嘆之外，相信消費者最期望的應是HONDA Taiwan也能想辦法引進這款Accord 2.2 i-CTDi Sport吧！特別是柴油車的引進已是合法化的今天∼∼
