日本HONDA繼10月底推出2005年式Accord後，本月初在推出Accord姊妹車Inspire之小改款車型，全新的Inspire改變幅度非常小，幾乎與舊年份完全相同，2005年式僅增加了一款寶石紅心塗裝，以及將附有電熱除霧及撥水玻璃之後視鏡列為全車系標準配備，增加雨天時的車後方的辨識。
Inspire車款是由美規Accord衍生而來的車款，在日本市場上的定位，Inspire是比Accord更高一級並具有運動氣息的中大型房車，搭載了一具HONDA全新的3.0升V6 i-VTEC引擎，具有最新研發的可變汽缸管理系統，車輛在巡航時，引擎有半數汽缸，也就是有三缸會閒置，可有效降低燃油消耗，使Inspire每公升將可以行駛11.6公里。同時廢氣排放也達到日本2010年的規範，也是唯一一款3.0升等級的車型合乎環保車型減稅的標準。此外Inspire搭載了HONDA獨家的CMS碰撞緩衝系統以及E-Pretensioner安全帶預縮系統，可以預測碰撞發生並在事前提出警告，並在狀況發生後將傷害減輕到最小。
車身內裝設計則以時下流行的米色，黑色與金屬材質為主，HONDA除了在操控性的提昇上下了不少功夫，對於行車舒適性也沒有忽略，在車室質感上也做了提昇。
