HONDA社長福井威夫下戰書，新Civic Hybrid全球年銷售40000輛

首度在新車型上同時推出汽油與Hybrid兩種動力系統的新Civic，HONDA更向TOYOTA下戰挑書，一年以4萬輛為銷售目標，雖然和Prius的10萬輛相較不到一半，但至少有了具體行動。
根據HONDA社長福井威夫在新Civic的發表會表示，由於受到國際原油價高上揚，再加上不需吃油的燃料電池車遲遲未能大量生產，因此Hybrid似乎是現階段最有效率的解決之道，因此HONDA將更積極投入此車種的開發，同時藉由新Civic的問世，先行落實汽油和Hybrid同步量產化。
新Civic Hybrid在原廠的設定計畫中，全球是以每年四萬輛為銷售目標，也是前一代Civic Hybrid的一倍，其中北美地區為28000輛，日本和歐洲則各為5000輛。此外，在日本汽油版與Hybrid的銷售比例為4：1，也就是2000輛：500輛，以這樣的數據來看HONDA似乎野心頗大。
至於國內是否會引進，目前還不明確，但可以確定的是新Civic即將在明年國產化，到底是美規還是日規，請大家猜一猜！
