HONDA新Civic日本試駕（2）-大膽變身車格提升

首次看到照片，總覺得新Civic很像是Integra的四門版，直到面對面的第一次接觸，才發現它簡直就是放大的Integra四門型態，而且還越看越有味道。
要說新Civic是大變身其實不為過，因為100﹪全新設計的Civic，在創新概念為前提下，似乎有向上提升的趨勢，並朝現行款Accord逼近，若與同級車相較，1750mm的寬度光氣勢就非常嚇人；而4540mm的長度和1440mm的高度，早就將國民車的設計理念拋諸腦後，說時代在改變、消費者越來越挑嘴實不為過。
低斜的A柱與低扁車頭，配上不規則狀頭燈組，與類似空力套件處理的前保險桿設計，讓全車充滿性能風格，而引用HONDA新一代美學概念，前高後低的身影，其實仍看得出和第七代之間的關係，這也延續Civic的家族特色-年輕不失大方、先進帶點個性味。而後視鏡轉向燈的配置，也符合安全和車壇流行潮流。
根據HONDA原廠的說法，當初設計新Civic時，是以長方形體為基礎，然後作切割，旋即變成目前的造型，聽起來就如同作勞作般簡單，實際上卻耗費設計部門非常大的時間，當然最主要還是為了保持跑格，卻又不失升級的產品定位。
隨著座艙前移的技術，造就A、C兩柱非常低斜，與極度寬敞的車室空間。水箱護罩的面積不小，其中的飛翼式水箱護罩更是HONDA旗下車款的一大特色；車尾燈組的四圓LED，和類鴨尾式行李廂蓋造型，有點回到Integra的風格，難怪我看到實車時，直覺上認為這就是Integra四門版，而HONDA原廠工程師也深表同感。
此外，座艙前移的結果，讓前輪朝前保險桿邊緣伸展，再加上17吋輪圈的輔助，新Civic果真具備中型房車的格具；車尾的雙排氣尾管，則將強調性能的一切訴說清楚。
