HONDA新Civic日本試駕（7）-三大特色搶攻市場，打破傳統購車觀念

2.0的空間、2.0的性能、1.5的油耗是新Civic的三大特色，也是總代理三不五十所強調的重點，在實際試駕發現，除了油耗無法測試外，其他兩項果真不賴，而且明年導入國產化後，可能會打破傳統購車觀念。
新Civic所擁有的不再只是拘限於中小型房車格局，而是要向上提升，因此在動力上朝2.0升看齊，空間則更威脅到2.0升級距，至於油耗表現，日本方面的17.0km/l就足以和1.5升車款相媲美，若經過換算，差不多等於國內約15.6km/l，在高油價時代來臨之際，確實替消費者找到不錯的路。
就動力輸出與空間舒適性來說，新Civic的確具備向上挑戰2.0升的條件，其中2700mm的軸距已經擠身至Camry、Accord等中大型房車之列，縱使有人仍將它與TOYOTA Corolla、FORD Focus、NISSAN Sentra、MITSUBISHI Lancer、MAZDA 3歸為同類，但就我個人專業觀點來看，是有必要跳脫既有的產品定位，而且精緻度和各種表現的提升，絕非過去Civic所能相比。
對於消費者而言，最難接受的還是在於車格上改變，甚至就連媒體也很難做改變，主要是大家仍受到Civic長久以來深刻印象所致，認為這是一部中小型房車，而非中型房車級距。但事實證明雄辯，新Civic的確長大了，格局也向上攀升，整體操控與機械結構，甚至內外造型設計都更為用心與進步，要說它對國內市場沒有殺傷力，嗯.....恐怕是客氣了！
