HOLDEN Torana

在現行Astra所建立的全新OPEL家族風格，經由小改款的Vectra，還有即將在今年發表的Corsa大改款承接下來之後，其實原廠已經積極進行下一代Vectra車系的開發囉！
不說您一定也不知道，其實下一代Vectra概念原型早就已經曝光過，而且原廠也大剌剌地讓大家見過這輛概念車，就是在2004年墨爾本澳洲國際車展發表的HOLDEN Torana概念跑房車！
全新世代的Vectra造型將承繼Torana概念車新世紀極簡運動風格，與現行車款保桿線條較複雜的風格截然不同，這也將成為下一代OPEL車系的新家族特徵，而且車頭造型將因為誇張的輪拱配置顯得更具跑房車的氣勢，至於尾廂將走短捷的路線。
其實，Vectra的宿敵Mondeo下一代也朝向這類運動跑房車的風格邁進，不過FORD的新家族風格會融入更多曲線，而新Vectra將搭載通用全新的Epsilon 2平台，車身寬度與高度也將比現行車款略增，而且空間表現也希望可以像全新第六代VW Passat車系看齊！
除此之外，通用集團準備導入許多先進科技，在下一代Vectra車系上頭，包括時下已經在高級車壇流行開來的主動式定速循航控制系統，還有自動路邊停車裝置，加上行進車道控制系統等等。
另外，下一代OPEL Vectra車系也將首度提供頂級車款四驅系統的配置，預計頂級性能版OPC也將配置全時四輪驅動，提供更為優異的動態表現，動力系統方面除了目前小改款車系的2.8升頂級汽油V6引擎之外，柴油動力系統也將導入全新的2.7升引擎。
預計這輛新車，將在明年秋季舉行的2007法蘭克福國際車展正式發表，屆時由裕隆通用引進的新車，至少都是掛上2008年式身份的….
