    開創劃時代新格局─HONDA全新Civic(7)

2005年中,在現行新八代Civic問世前,HONDA率先發表了全新世代的1.8升引擎,運用大量全新引擎科技,使Civic於動力層面上,同樣超越原有規格。

這具全新八代Civic所使用的主力引擎,原廠代號為R18A1,排氣量為1799cc,正好介於1800cc稅賦級距之內,引擎本體採用高強度鋁合金鑄造而成,並進行高原式塘磨處理,再配合離子蒸鍍處理活塞環,提升缸內的整體平整度,降低機件運轉的摩擦力,曲軸也採鍛造製成,並經過高精密的平衡措施,讓引擎運轉更為平順。

此外,該具引擎也同時擁有i-VTEC系統、IMRC可變進氣歧管、線傳油門以及ETC電子節氣門等引擎科技,不僅擁有水準之上的140hp/6300rpm最大馬力,與17.7kgm/4300rpm最大扭力,更近一步在油耗與排污上有更佳的表現。

而該具引擎於1000~3500rpm間,以及三檔以上檔位,具有獨特的經濟節能運轉模式,利用i-VTEC之可變進氣揚程與正時機制,於該模式下,延長進氣時間,並將ETC電子節流閥全開,同時於延遲關閉進汽門正時,使前一引擎循環未燃燒完全的油氣,在回到進氣岐管中,再於下一次進氣行程中,再將油氣導入,如此一來將可使油氣完全燃燒,節省油料。

這就是為何全新Civic的1.8升車型,可以有平均每公升燃油行駛15.5公里,高速行駛20.71公里的驚人低油耗表現。

日昨提到,在兩天的試駕過程中,大部份的路程都是高速路段,即使是雙線的鄉間小道,大夥也鲜少輕踩油門,而全新Civic憑藉著順暢且優於相近級距車款的動力輸出,無論是起步加速或再加速超車,表現都於同預期般輕快順暢,雖然加速度未如2.0升車型敏捷,不過對於一般的消費者而言,以相當夠用,兩天的試駕下來,在許多路段平均時速都在130km/h左右,甚至是150km/h以上,已超過一般駕駛狀態甚多,因此一向以優異動能著稱的Civic,在全新一代車款上,同樣有著一脈相承的傳統。

至於在變速系統方面,Civic全車系皆撘載五速自排變速箱,1.8升頂級車型與2.0升車型則附有Paddle Shift方向盤後置式換檔機制,不僅換檔迅速,在退檔時會同步作補油動作,增添了些與的競技氣息,而為具有Paddle Shift方向盤後置式換檔機制的車型,雖然失去一些駕駛樂趣,不過順暢的表現同樣令人滿意。
