原本在日本穩居轎式三排七座休旅車冠軍寶座的HONDA Stream，卻因為TOYOTA Wish的出現而搶盡鋒頭，算是替RAV4與CR-V之間的恩怨報了一箭之仇，因此HONDA即將在七月發表第二代Stream，企圖扳回一城。
先前AutoNet曾報導有關第二代Stream的新聞，結果不到一個月，又拿到非常珍貴的定裝照，光看到照片，編輯部所有人直呼是縮小版的Odyssey！HONDA日本原廠暱稱為「Silver Wolf」銀狐的第二代Stream，4570×1695×1545mm的身材較對手Wish大一點，但整體造型卻更為洗鍊，並有種Crossover的休旅跑格。
以第八代Civic底盤為基礎的第二代Stream，軸距同樣為2700mm，因此容納三排座椅後每個乘員均能獲得最舒適的空間；與現行款相較高度還低了45mm，在日本地區得以停在升降式停車塔。至於內裝配備部分，採用懸空式排檔座，三輻式橢圓形方向盤與Civic相同，但整個中控台設計卻更有休閒味。
動力上共有直四1.8升與2.0升兩種i-VTEC引擎，輸出功率分別為140hp/17.7kgm、150hp/19.4kgm，而1.8升和四驅車型配置五速自排，2.0升則僅與CVT組合。另外，HONDA還有一款更為運動感的RSZ，全車充滿空力套件不說，就連輪圈與內裝也有細部差異，並將HID列為標準配備。
由於現行Stream從2000年10月問世至今，在日本總計銷售28萬3602輛，比2003年才問世的TOYOTA Wish的39萬3414輛來得少，因此HONDA希望藉由全新的Stream能讓對手好看。
