雖然離正式發表僅剩下不到兩星期，但日本HONDA已經迫不及待將新Stream給秀出來，好讓全球消費者先睹為快。
第二代的新Stream，基本上與第八代Civic採共用底盤設計，不過外觀造型上宛如縮小版的Odyssey，動力上共有直四1.8升與2.0升兩種排氣量，而HOFDA則將R20A的直四2.0升SOHC i-VTEC引擎視為主力，輸出功率為150hp/19.4kgm，並與七段CVT手自排變速系統作結合，當然也可選擇五速手自排系統。
原本Stream僅有一種車型設定，為了迎合消費者需求，除了基本款的Stream外，還有一款強調個性化的RSZ，且只搭載一具2.0升引擎，也因此將17吋輪圈列為標準配備，以提升Stream的駕馭操控樂趣。至於1.8升引擎則全面配置五速手自排變速系統。而內裝鋪陳與座椅配置，仍維持大空間的七人座設計。
由於TOYOTA Wish的產品力強，且被HONDA視為最大敵手，如果以新Stream的定位來看，正式發表後可能會對Wish造成威脅。而台灣是否會導入國產化，目前眾說紛紜，相信最快也要等到2007年才會更明朗。
