第八代Civic是HONDA重返美國銷售冠軍的利器

幾個月前在台灣剛上市的第八代Civic是HONDA的車系中的超級主力，演變成美規也不例外，不過這要從頭說起；過去Civic在美國表現驚人，第一代Civic乘著第一次石油危機的順風，在美國汽車市場中起飛，直到2003年，TOYOTA及韓國車的打擊，製造了Civic的威脅。
這對HONDA而言是個不小的打擊，自從Civic誕生以來，在1600萬輛的全球銷量中，北美市場就占了近一半——700萬輛；甚至大多數美國人認爲，Civic代表了HONDA，HONDA的標誌性轎車就是Civic。也因為Civic，HONDA在美國站穩了腳跟並且茁壯。
HONDA在全球利潤當中，有75%是來自於美國市場，所以HONDA必須重新奪回銷售寶座，而第八代Civic的去年在美國市場推出，則被認為是HONDA賦予Civic重回轎車銷量冠軍的利器。
不僅因為HONDA重塑第八代Civic年輕的形象，更因為當初第一代Civic成功的原因─高油價，讓Civic不僅銷售成績不斷成長，美國汽車媒體也對Civic有不少的讚美，例如Auto insider表示，即使Civic不能成爲同類汽車中的領袖，也會成爲開啓新時代汽車方向的先鋒。
