雖然第二代全新大改款的HONDA Fit即將在2007年東京車展亮相，不過現行款依然賣得嚇嚇叫，根據統計，6年的時間Fit在全球已經銷售達200萬輛，其產品魅力之驚人絕非對手能媲美。

2001年6月HONDA在日本發表第一代Fit後，旋即獲得各個年齡層消費者的歡迎，因為低油耗加入傲人的性能表現，讓這款小型掀背車於2002年登上日本銷售排行榜第一名，硬是擠下老年人專用車TOYOTA Corolla，成為閃閃發亮的新寵兒；再者為了擄獲歐洲年輕人的心，HONDA更在2001年12月正式登陸歐洲。經過長達六年的時間，Fit於全球五個國家六個生產工廠製造，並以每年40萬輛的驚人數目行銷115個國。

根據HONDA的統計，Fit從2001年6月至2007年6月為止，總計銷售達到200萬輛，日本為962000輛，歐洲為417000輛，2002年1月投入亞太暨大洋洲地區總計23萬輛，南美為151000輛，中國地區更達173000輛，而2006年4月才在北美地區問世的Fit，更成功銷售77000輛，這股Fit旋風可是相當驚人。

如今為了延續Fit的魅力，HONDA計畫在2007年10月推出第二代全新車型，車身長度比現行款增加50mm，寬度則加了20mm，且具備全新開發的1.3升直四i-VTEC引擎，除了擁有100hp馬力外，平均油耗更高達每公升24.0公里以上，而台灣要導入國產化，最快在2008年第三季以後會實現。
