在馬來西亞當地銷售的 Civic Type為日規版本。

根據最新消息指出，HONDA在日前於馬來西亞汽車市場發表全新2008年式的Civic Type R性能房車版本，而HONDA原廠對於今年當地銷售目標達成十分有信心，而Type R與Hybrid兩款新車陸續到位後，將可抒解目前當地訂單排隊的情況，HONDA預計今年在馬來西亞市場銷售約60輛Civic Type R性能版運動房車。
HONDA馬來西亞分公司（Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd）執行長Atsushi Fujimoto表示，自從去年三月在當地發表八代Civic車系以來，累積銷售新車已經超過1.3萬輛，而在Type R與Hybrid兩款新車陸續交車之後，預計今年HONDA可以在當地市場銷售量再創新高紀錄，因為目前仍有三個月份的新車訂單亟待消化，而HONDA Civic Type R報價為19.98萬馬幣（約新台幣190萬元），Civic Hybrid,為16.28萬馬幣（約新台幣155萬元）。
