本田宗一郎的驕傲！ HONDA歐規 Civic第100萬輛正式下線

第100萬輛Civic，正是紅色Civic Type-R。

回顧歷史，HONDA英國〝Swindon〞裝配廠，於1994年開始生產第五代Civic，當時Civic年產能為6,652輛。歷經歲月演進，該廠的製車工具與設備大幅翻新，生產效率相對提升，因此預估至今年年底，第八代Civic年產能將可達到138,792輛，與13年前相較，不僅年產能成長兩倍之多，同時也顯現消費者對於Civic的熱愛，似毫沒有衰退的跡象。
更難能可貴的是，從2006年10月至今，由於第八代Civiv 三門、五門車型，以及第三代CRV持續熱銷，〝Swindon〞裝配廠HONDA全車系銷售量也從19萬輛成長至25萬輛（與2005年10月-2006年10月相較），並且輸出至全球60多個國家。
歐洲HONDA資深副總Ken Keir表示，〝Swindon〞裝配廠製造Civic已有13年歷史，而第100萬輛Civic，正是紅色Civic Type-R，代表其車輛品質、性能與操控，受到英國等地消費者青睞，同時也證明HONDA能夠繼續擦亮品牌名聲，絕非僥倖。
