去年10月在日本誕生的第二代Fit，延續驚人的產品競爭力在2007年度市場總銷售硬是拉下常勝軍TOYOTA Corolla，讓HONDA自2002年以來第二次站上冠軍龍頭寶座。

打從1990年代起，TOYOTA驚覺HONDA優異的造車功力，兩家車廠便開始一連串的銷售與科技爭霸戰，尤其在HONDA推出小型都會車Fit後TOYOTA也以Vitz（台灣稱為Yaris）應戰，硬是從HONDA Fit手中拿回日本銷售冠軍寶座，當然TOYOTA的常勝軍Corolla也不甘示弱，以國民車的型態穩居排行榜龍頭。HONDA為了雪恥，在2007年10月推出第二代Fit後，便以驚人的成績將Corolla由寶座拉下，成為2007年度日本銷售新盟主。

根據日本汽車銷售協會聯合會所公布的資料，HONDA Fit在去年10月登場後，銷售成績延續第一代的熱況，訂單量遠超過原廠預估的數倍，且在2008年3月共銷售25933輛，比起去年同期增加兩倍之多，且2007年度整體銷售高達148253輛，較2006年增加了54﹪，以約900輛微幅差距小贏TOYOTA Corolla的147374輛，成為日本2007年度新車銷售的冠軍產品，也替HONDA爭一口氣。

以HONDA Fit的產品力來說，雖然級距比TOYOTA Corolla小，定位上屬於小型都會掀背車，然而在優異的設計功力與符合高油價時代的引擎動力，必然有能吸引消費者的條件；而Corolla向來是老年族的代步工具，這樣的設定與Fit自然有明顯不同。而台灣即將在今年第四季導入Fit國產化，未來否成功地讓Corolla Altis在銷售上吃鱉，就全看總代理策略與消費者的購車觀了。
