重新奪回乘用車寶座的HONDA第二代Fit，上市後就讓TOYOTA Yaris嚐盡苦頭，如今隨著大環境對於Hybrid車款需求大增，HONDA也決定從2009年初起推出包含Fit在內的四款Hybrid車，一來提升品牌形象，二來與TOYOTA爭個高下，阻斷TOYOTA Hybrid領域獨霸局面。

由HONDA所自行開發的Hybrid系統，其控制系統與電池組以達到小型化水準，而驅動馬達更擁有薄型化特點，同時在技術越形進步下不僅可有效降低生產成本，更因為日本鈴鹿廠新增生產線，讓產能和效率大幅提昇，因此要因應未來25萬輛的需求肯定沒問題，然而目前HONDA的Hybrid車款似乎沒有這麼大的規模，沒錯！但2009年起可就難說了。

因為日前HONDA宣布正式啟動Hybrid機制，除了調整相關零組件的生產線外，且從2009年起陸續推出4款Hybrid車，包含Fit Hybrid、CR-Z量產雙門跑車、Civic Hybrid與一款全新設計的Hybrid專用車，總計在全球將有50萬輛的規模，而Hybrid專用車則僅在北美、日本與歐洲三個市場銷售，估計每年銷售量可達20萬輛左右。

如果和TOYOTA的年銷售100萬輛相比，HONDA只有一半的規模，不過TOYOTA將這個目標擺在2012年，且總計會再投入五款新車，或許2009年就要動作的HONDA將可取得先機，至於鹿死誰手還是將餅作大，就端賴消費者的喜好了。
