2006年HONDA Fit現身美國展示間，當時許多人認為這台五門小車，在Escalade和F-150稱霸的市場上似乎沒什麼看投，但這台車意外地造成轟動。自此之後，在油價攀升的助長之下，銷售量更有驚人的表現。在2007年HONDA Fit的銷售量估計有56,000輛。
HONDA Fit在全球多處組裝廠皆有生產，美國Fit主要來自日本，平均每年全球的Fit產量為500,000輛汽車。原本HONDA分配30,000輛至40,000輛Fit到美國市場，不過美國HONDA的副總John Mendel表示，HONDA很早就發現這個數量根本不夠應付當地的需求。
雖然數量提高至60,000輛，但HONDA在短短五個月內就已經達成這個銷售數字，供不應求的情況顯而易見。HONDA記取教訓再度提高產量，自今年十月開始，將預定的年產量調高至80,000輛汽車。值得一提的是車廠方面表示，這項決議早在油價衝破一加侖四美元之前就已定案，但現在消費者對SUV等大型車輛失去興趣，HONDA等於是吃了定心丸。
目前HONDA Civic的銷售量已經超越全新的Accord。美國環保署規定新車款的油耗表現必須達到29mpg，符合此項標準的Fit需求量將會有增無減，許多經銷商已經提前做好準備使用等候名單，確保能滿足消費者的需求量。
