    開發代號2CP,HONDA下一代Stepwagon回歸原點

1996年5月在日本登場的Stepwagon,是HONDA第一款採用FF驅動的高頂Minivan,第三代在2005年5月上市至今依然有著不錯的銷售成績,然而在市場競爭激烈下,HONDA決定針對第四代車型作出相當大改變,也就是回歸到第一代的方正路線,並延續歷代雙滑門設計,同時第三排座椅更能隱藏收納在行李廂底板下,最重要的是底盤重心將比現行款更低。

Stepwagon是以Civic底盤所開發的轎式單廂休旅車,1996年5月第一代誕生以來,便以方正造型、寬敞高頂空間受到好評,2005年推出的第三代車型依然遵循此概念,雖然景氣衝擊Minivan銷售滑落,但高人氣的Stepwagon在日本卻能保持每月4500輛銷售成績,算是同級車中表現最優異者,如今因產品週期將屆,且HONDA改變所有新車開發方向,原廠開發代號2CP的下一代Stepwagon將採用Civic底盤為藍本,並導入更多第一代的方正設計風格,估計第四代車身尺碼將為4655×1695×1770mm,比第三代稍微縮小些,但在車艙前移下空間卻更為寬敞,同時車頭也比現行款更短。

動力上基於節能與環保是目前相當重要的議題,原本搭載直四2.0升與2.4升兩具引擎的Stepwagon,第四代極有可能捨棄大排氣量的2.4升,僅提供2.0升給顧客選擇,變速系統當然是最流型的CVT無段變速,但也可能是五速自排系統。

不過就日本市場景氣來看,新一代Stepwagon或許會受到更大衝擊,雖然傳言HONDA有意在2009年底之前發表,但照這樣的態勢和買氣來看,2010年5月當是可能性較高的時間。
