就為了和NISSAN Serena對抗，HONDA Stepwgn即將大改款

2009年式日規HONDA Stepwgn車型。

2005年5月進行大改款的Stepwgn，雖然目前在日本每個月仍有3000輛的銷售規模，但和最直接的對手NISSAN Serena相比，卻少了將近2500輛，為了與Serena相抗衡，HONDA決定在2009年10月7日推出大改款Stepwgn，並讓外觀造型重新回歸方正設計風格。
基於現行Stepwgn的造型態過年輕化且前衛，對於保守的消費者來說自然很難接受，使得Stepwgn在銷售成績不如對手NISSAN Serena，因此HONDA將在10月份推出大改款車型，除了造型風格將重新調整外，猜測車身尺碼為4650×1695×1770mm，2855mm軸距能創造相當舒適又寬敞的三排七座空間，且在重新設計下，車室高度將比現行款的1350mm來得高，也就是說乘員的頭部空間更無壓迫感。此外HONDA也降低車身重心，並強化隔音，讓新Stepwgn的高速穩定性更好，亦提供靜肅指數更高的車室。
動力部分與現行款採相同的2.0L直列四缸汽油引擎，不過引擎代號從原先K20A換成新開發的R20A，估計最大馬力與扭力分別達150hp/6200rpm、19.4kgm/4200rpm，雖然馬力比現行的155hp/6000rpm少了5hp，但扭力卻較19.2kgm/4500rpm小增0.2kgm，且從傳統四速自排換成CVT無段自動變速系統後，讓新Stepwgn得以創造14-15.5km/L的平均油耗，比起現行款的12.6km/L還進步2-3km/L，經濟性大幅提昇，能替車主省下不少油錢。
另外AutoNet也掌握到獨家訊息，那就是HONDA正在評估Stepwgn的Hybrid版，預計在2011年後推出，預料將會對Serena造成不小的威脅。
