美規Civic開始外銷墨西哥與南美洲，HONDA強化南進計畫

2008年正式啟動的Greensburg是HONDA Civic相當重要的生產基地
|
於2008年11月開始啟動的印第安那州Greensburg廠，是HONDA在美國的第七個汽車生產基地，也是Civic Sedan與Civic GX瓦斯車的誕生地，基於地緣關係，這裡所生產的Civic也將開始外銷到墨西哥與南美洲市場，來強化HONDA的南進戰略。
位於美國印第安那州的Greensburg廠，是HONDA在北美相當重要的生產基地，因為這裡所生產的主力就是Civic，現在為了進軍美國以南的市場，由Greensburg所生產的Civic將外銷到墨西哥與南美洲市場，這也是HONDA的重點策略之一。
根據瞭解HONDA Civic將先外銷到墨西哥，然後是南美洲等共計22國。
受到金融海嘯影響，Civic在2009年1-8月於美國共銷售191,790輛，若與2008年同期相比大幅減少26.7％。不過在8月份因美國購車補助方案結束，許多消費者趕在這一波前購車，因此單月和去年同期相比增加了49.6％，達43,294輛，正因為景氣有復甦現象，使得HONDA願意做出外銷策略。
