可當椅子又可獨輪行走，HONDA U3-X個人行動載具誕生

HONDA除了在汽機車和飛機即發動機領域有傲人成就外，機器人相關科技的發展也走在時代前端，繼ASIMO、步行輔助系統後，HONDA又推出一款名為U3-X的個人行動載具，平時可當板凳坐，也可當作獨輪機車，比起Segway還要酷！
最新開發的U3-X，是運用ASIMO所累積的平衡技術所開發的新玩意，雖然狀似獨輪板凳，實際上卻具有前後移動、傾斜與保持平衡的全方位驅動車輪裝置HOT Drive System（HONDA Omni Traction Drive System），由於內建陀螺儀與驅動馬達，當身體向前傾、重心往前時就會向前跑，且依照重心位置速度也有所變化，另外當身體打直時就完全靜止。
此外U3-X相當符合人體工學，即使坐在上頭視線也周遭行人相同，只不過和其他人相比，坐在這獨輪出上頭總會有些優越感，畢竟U3-X是高科技結晶。而HONDA確定在2009年東京車展對民眾秀出U3-X，至於未來是否會量產目前仍在檢討評估中，但可確定的是接下來U3-X應該會出現於不少國際場合上，就如同最可愛的ASIMO一樣。
