2009東京車展搶先報：史上最強Cub未來版，HONDA EV Cub登場

風行全球並將HONDA推上國際舞台的Super Cub，從第一代誕生已有51年歷史，也是消費者公認最強商用機車，當然這裡指的不是高性能，而是故障率低又能騎很久，當然隨著環保節能議題火熱，HONDA為了今年東京車展特地設計出符合低污染、零油耗的概念作品EV Cub。
堪稱是21世紀版Super Cub的EV Cub， 騎士膝蓋部分的整流罩巧妙地和車身結合，頗有第一代前輩的味道，而後視鏡與LED方向燈組合，除了保留車身的一體性，更能達到高辨識安全性。動力上採用沒有廢氣排放問題的電動馬達，馬達置於前後輪內，形成二輪驅動模式，電池則是超小型的鋰氫電池，可隨時拆下帶回家充電。
基於空間有限，目前市售的Super Cub完全沒有置物空間，由於EV-Cub沒有油箱，因此原本油箱的空間就讓出來擺放專用安全帽。
不過要以EV-Cub來取代現有Super Cub恐怕很難，畢竟變成電動車後耐用度就是最大考驗，另外價格也是一大問題，這也是何以EV-Cub必須以概念車型態出現的原因。
