打進美國賽事，HONDA推出Fit專用1.5L L15A7賽車引擎

HONDA Performance Development（簡稱HPD賽車發展部門）近日開始運輸與Quicksilver RacEngines合力開發，供Fit使用的1.5L賽車引擎，預計將使用於Sports Car Club of America（簡稱SCCA美國賽車俱樂部）所舉辦的Formula F組別賽事。此外，HPD希望此具引擎能夠幫助HONDA成功於美國開放組別賽事立足。
1.5L L15A7賽車引擎採用燃油噴射系統與頂置凸輪軸，將陸續交貨給美國訂戶，HPD希望從此具引擎交貨開始，讓HONDA的FF前置引擎前輪驅動基礎賽事發展更具競爭力，如同以HONDA車款為主的FFS獨立賽事組別一般。
HONDA從2009年開始透過HPD開發可供Fit用於賽事的賽車引擎，讓1.5L L15A7賽車引擎得以問世，保有HONDA車款與引擎的優點，包括產品壽命、維修零件取得與保修成本，在賽車領域均屬於合理的範圍。
