2012年11月HONDA下一代Accord誕生，Plug-in Hybrid上身排氣量1.5L？

早在2010年7月20日HONDA社長伊東孝紳就曾對外宣布，將在2012年於美國和日本販售中型以上的Plug-in Hybrid車，這裡所謂的中型以上Plug-in Hybrid車，應該是指開發代號2GA的新一代Accord，不過令人驚訝的是，Accord Hybrid所採用的動力心臟居然和CR-Z相同，也就是1.5L汽油引擎和電動馬達組成的IMA，只不過這樣的設定真能對Accord經濟性有所幫助嗎？

就AutoNet的深入了解，開發代號2GA的下一代Accord，目前正在日本HONDA總公司與設計中心進行研發，共分為日歐規及美規兩種版本，中國及台灣版將採用日歐規格，車身尺碼約莫在4895×1845×1470mm，動力上共有直列四缸2.0L、2.4L及V6 3.5L三種汽油引擎，另外更增加Plug-in Hybrid，也就是能進行充電的複合油電動力版，不過所配合的引擎排氣量僅有1.5L，基本上就是與CR-Z相同的IMA系統，但馬達可以獨立運作，說穿了就是能以電動車型態行駛。經過調校後最大輸出馬力可達120hp，平均油耗以20.0km/L為目標，然而以Accord龐大的身軀來看，新Accord Hybrid真能達到這般高經濟性嗎？所以HONDA正為了強化電池續航力而傷腦筋，畢竟這是幫助Accord節省能源的主力，沒能調整至最佳狀態哪能創造優異的油耗表現。
至於新Accord在全球的月產能為多少？HONDA的目標可是相當保守，據目前所獲得的數字顯示，日本為2,145輛，北美為33,300輛，泰國為4,900輛，中國為16,275輛，馬來西亞為480輛，總計為57,100輛，算下來年產目標為685,200輛，這樣的數字與過去相比少了許多，主要是日幣大幅升值、美國市場景氣尚未復甦、金融海嘯後策略穩健、消費者對於中大型房車需求大減等原因所致。而台灣在何時會導入國產化？以現行Accord銷售不彰的情況來猜測，恐怕要等到2013年第三季以後，但也有可能改以進口車模式現身，詳情必須等到2011年之後才會更明朗。
