    HONDA替旗艦找活路,Legend回歸FF不再SH-AWD!

新一代Legend將消失僅以高級品牌ACURA RL在少數國家銷售
早在2010年7月曾傳出旗艦Legend不再開發販售的消息後,2011年HONFA社長伊東孝紳在股東會上做出解釋,Legend並非停產,而是將重心擺在美國市場,也就是說未來Legend不再掛上HONDA廠徽,而是以ACURA RL繼續販售;同時為了降低成本提升競爭力,目前的SH-AWD將被新系統取代,並增加1985年前輪驅動的選擇。

下一代的SH-AWD將由e 4WD取代
打從1985年問世以來,Legend便因FF設定而成為市場上罕見的旗艦房車,直到現行第四代才導入能進行前後及左右力道分配的SH-AWD系統,雖然在市場上叫好卻不叫座,只剩下掛著高級品牌ACURA RL仍受到消費者青睞,但畢竟同級對手眾多,RL的銷售成績似乎令HONDA原廠陷入兩難,因此才傳出停止開發後繼車的消息。不過就AutoNet汽車日報所掌握的訊息,HONDA似乎已著手開發第五代Legend,只是Legend恐怕會就此消失,而是專心掛上ACURA廠徽以RL車名來銷售,放眼ACURA販售的國家僅有美國、加拿大、墨西哥與中國,這下剩此四國民眾能買到RL。

另外,預計2012年以後問世的第五代Legend將回歸原本FF設定,結構複雜、成本較高的SH-AWD將被捨棄,取而代之可能是電動馬達驅動的e-4WD,也就是如TOYOTA Estima Hybrid相同的系統,動力則為3.7L V6汽油引擎,推估將擁有340-350hp馬力。至於科技配備和安全行頭部分,前後左右4顆CCD鏡頭(停車導引)、盲點偵測警示、14個揚聲器、19吋鋁合金輪圈、電子式駐車煞車、車道偏移警示等都將納入清單中,當然這些高科技早已出現在其他車廠產品上,2008年甫進行小改款的HONDA Legend/ACURA RL自然尚未配置。

而據說下一代Legend,不,應該說是ACURA RL的年產量約2萬輛,包含美國18,000輛、加拿大100輛、中國80輛、墨西哥60輛,如果和同級高級房車相比似乎少了很多。
