身為全球最受歡迎、知名度也最高的ASIMO，是HONDA在機器人工學上的最大結晶，同時也是機械發展史上的一大突破，尤其在電腦技術日新月異幫助下，ASIMO似乎也越來越像人類。
經過這幾年不斷的進化，HONDA於日前正式發表最新版本，除了步行速度提高至9km/h，更藉由全新的平衡感知器進行小跑步，另外也增加閃避周遭人、物的感應器，以及更為靈巧的雙手，可以輕易開啟瓶蓋、杯蓋，甚至還會作出倒水的動作，行為上可是越來越接近人類。同時ASIMO所使用的平衡感知器，也將運用在HONDA的MOTO GP賽車上，以提供騎士絕佳的平衡性。
看來ASIMO在這樣發展進化下去，極有可能與原子小金鋼一樣具有自主意識，甚至還擁有10萬匹馬力，並可自由在天空翱翔，不過那個時候你我都已經和本田宗一郎、手塚治蟲在天上相會。
