HONDA 與加州Torrance市政府合作，HONDA Fit EV北美試運行開跑

在所有日系車廠當中，同樣推行綠能車款不遺餘力的HONDA，今年年初在日本國內緊跟著TOYOTA、HINO、MITSUBISHI之後免費提供了5輛Fit EV給埼玉市公務單位，加速Fit EV道路測試的腳步，而遠在太平洋了另一邊，HONDA也將純電動的Fit EV提供給美國加州的Torrance市政府此用，並且藉此進行道路測試。
Fit EV能夠在加州進行測試不但代表了HONDA也跟上了其他日系車廠在美國電動車市場的腳步，對於想要今年第二季於加州以及俄勒岡州上市的Fit EV來說，是運行的工作絕對是相當重要的一步，而一向以嚴格排放法規著稱的加州，對於純電力驅動、零排放的Fit EV來說絕對是一個最適合的地方。
為了進行Fit EV在當地的試運行計畫，加州Torrance市政府也與HONDA合作，花費了一年的時間蒐集各界民眾的意見，並依此來尋找適合建立充電站的地點，未來Torrance市政府將會與HONDA保持密切的關係，持續將Fit EV車隊的使用狀況回報給原廠，同時HONDA日後也會持續提供Plug-in Hybrid車型給Torrance市政府進行測試。
而在去年上海車展後，就已傳出HONDA有意在2012年底前於在中國大陸當地進行Fit EV的生產動作，而去年11月HONDA也已經在廣州進行Fit EV的測試動作；再加上這次首度登陸北美進行試運行，HONDA似乎也漸漸趕上其他日系車廠在電動車方面的發展腳步。
