Accord率先採用，HONDA投資9.8億美元量產CVT變速箱

為了替Civic Hybrid等可望採用CVT變速箱的車型量產準備，HONDA近日宣佈於美國俄亥俄州Anna引擎廠的9.8億美元(約折合新台幣289.1億元) 投資案，部份金額將用於量產CVT變速箱組件。
HONDA表示此投資案部份將用於量產CVT變速箱當中的變速(普利珠)模組，同時也是屬於HONDA變速箱Earth Dreams科技理念展現的重要環節，在美國開始量產的起點，至於CVT變速箱則會在Russells Point的新生產線導入量產。此外，CVT變速箱也將幫助2013年式美規Accord，同時兼具動力輸出與高度燃油使用經濟性，展現更為環保節能的能耐。
2013年式美規Accord將會是首款採用全新CVT變速箱的美規車型，搭配2.4L缸內直噴四缸引擎，可輸出最大馬力181hp，最大扭力24.5kgm，另可以選擇搭配6速手排變速箱。
HONDA所倡導的Earth Dreams科技理念，透過引擎與變速箱的科技設計與提升，以同時兼具環保節能與減少排放的表現(相較於現行的五速自排變速箱省油10%)，滿足車迷的駕馭樂趣。因此Accord僅是起點，而不是終點。
