加州成為示範重心，HONDA Fit EV運抵GOOGLE總部

在2011年洛杉磯車展以概念車之姿進行全球首演的HONDA Fit EV concept，自2011年起陸續在中國、日本與美國等地展開試運行計畫，而從今年起也將計畫以量產版之姿在這些國家上市。而HONDA近日宣佈2013年式Fit EV已經開始陸續交給美國GOOGLE總部與史丹佛大學，成為HONDA Electric Vehicle Demonstration純電動車示範計畫的一環。
GOOGLE總部位於加州山景城，史丹佛大學則位在加州史丹佛市內，而HONDA藉由與加州所在的這些企業或學校合作，甚至是直接與托倫斯市政府進行合作，讓使用Fit EV等純電動車的使用者能夠加入此示範計畫，同時藉由使用者的定期意見交流與使用經驗分享，因此也讓GOOGLE與史丹佛大學職員幸運地成為體驗Fit EV的首批使用者。
Fit EV動力源自可輸出最大馬力123hp的電動馬達，透過可輸出最大功率23kWh的鋰電池模組供電，具備極速144km/h性能表現，最大行駛距離可達150km，同時透過240V家用插座充電，約3小時便可完全將電力充飽。
回顧歷史，HONDA在15年前便已經發表第一款純電動車EV Plus。HONDA認為藉由HONDA Electric Vehicle Demonstration純電動車示範計畫，能夠透過使用者與電動車的實際運行，進一步了解攸關電動車效能表現的電池技術，會面對如何的挑戰或存有的進步空間。
GOOGLE將會使用Fit EV做為其G-Fleet汽車共享計劃的一部份，同時也會進行車輛如何減少二氧化碳排放，以及如何使用這些電動車的相關數據分析，其中也包括電動車的行駛效能或每單位行駛所需的電費成本等。
史丹佛大學則會透過機械工程學系、心理學系等系所的通力合作，針對使用Fit EV進行使用者的身心反應進行研究，看看與使用傳統搭載汽油或柴油引擎車款有何不同。
相當知名且具有專業性的GOOGLE、史丹佛大學，也會對於電池技術的使用與發展有所助益。更重要的是，除了此計畫Fit EV也將於今年第二季有限定地區地在部份加州與奧瑞崗州上市，至於在美國東岸市場的上市時程則會在2013年春天。
