HONDA CR-V新增1.6L柴油心臟，台灣未來出線機率…不高

以引擎和技術著稱的HONDA，除了創造許多膾炙人口的高轉速引擎，更在環保節能下了不少功夫，然而在柴油動力方面的成就，包含HONDA在內的日本車廠都明顯落後歐洲對手，為此HONDA將柴油引擎列為新一階段的重點，並將全新開發的1.6L柴油引擎裝載於CR-V上，這也讓旗下柴油車款的陣容更為齊全。
目前在歐洲市場，HONDA柴油心臟僅有一具代號N22B的2.2L i-DETC引擎，只搭載於Accord、Civic及CR-V（歐規版尚未大改款）上，然而經過五年的考驗，成果卻不如預期，與歐洲對手的競爭力也不高，探究原因就在於排氣量過大，節能和性能的效果不彰，因此HONDA確定在近期內推出排氣量僅1.6L的柴油渦輪引擎，不僅擁有輕量化特性，亦能輕易通過即將在2014年實施的歐盟六期環保法規，更重要的是，這具全新的1.6L柴油動力其油耗經濟性與性能表現都能滿足消費者需求。
有鑑於全球Downsizing的新趨勢，HONDA也開始思考小排氣量引擎的研發，因為現階段HONDA所使用的2.2L i-DETC引擎，雖有150hp/35.7kgm的實力，對車輛性能、經濟性與低污染都有不錯表現，然而和對手的2.0L以下排氣量柴油引擎相比，整體效能表現和購車成本就高出不少，所以HONDA將開發嶄新的1.6L直列四缸柴油渦輪增壓引擎，來取代既有的2.2L心臟，基本上約有130hp/30.0kgm的功率輸出。根據了解，這具新引擎將在日本小川廠生產，並率先搭載於CR-V上，先行於歐洲和印度販售，爾後在2013年導入日本市場。
而台灣方面是否也會導入柴油引擎？就AutoNet汽車日報所獲得的資訊，雖然有納入評估考量，但短時間內應該不會出現，畢竟國內汽柴油價格並未有明顯落差，且消費者對於柴油車的接受度仍舊很低，因此想體驗HONDA的柴油科技，恐怕還有得等！
