    省油大作戰!HONDA發表「預測塞車節能科技」

日本HONDA本部於4月26日發表「預測塞車減速技術」,對於降低油耗有顯著功效,計畫將在5月份於印尼、7月份於義大利,進行壅塞交通環境等道路實測,目的在於儘早應用在市售車上。

日本的都會區高架路段與國道交通即時顯示資訊,精確度與更新速度相當完善,帶給民眾豐富便利的塞車資訊,不過HONDA腦筋動得相當快,開始注意到塞車帶來的高油耗問題,因此研發出「預測塞車減速技術」。

此系統可監測前方車輛的行駛速度,預判是否有塞車現象,如果有,將主動降低引擎電子節氣門的開度,減緩行車速度,並具備低速主動跟車功能,藉此減緩塞車問題並降低行車油耗。綜合各種不同的行駛狀態,平均減速幅度約為23%,預估可節省約8%的燃油消耗。

此系統,其實是利用主動跟車系統或碰撞警示系統的車頭雷達,進行對前方車輛速度的監測,並非特殊的高科技或GPS定位監測,因此在成本方面預期不會太高,而且在不同國家的城市、郊區不同路況都適用。

針對此系統,比較讓人擔心的在於監測系統會不會誤判塞車路況而莫名其妙地減速?此外還有許多問題,如主動降低行車速度時,煞車燈會不會亮起,會不會造成後車追撞的危險?減速過程是否平順,會不會讓駕駛誤以為引擎故障?作動時有沒有燈號警示?能否手動關閉此系統?
