    以智慧型手機操作,HONDA個人移動工具UNI-CUB誕生

位於日本東京江東區台場附近的日本科學未來館,是當地科學教育的聖地,如今這裡又多了兩名貴客,那就是HONDA新一代的個人移動工具UNI-CUB,經過三年的改良,如今已經可藉由智慧型手機操作。

早在2009年東京車展時,HONDA便推出宛如有輪子板凳的個人交通工具U3-X,其實與Segway大同小異,都是利用陀螺儀技術保持平衡,身體傾斜角度和重心則控制速度與方向,不過U3-X在當時僅只適概念作品,離量產還有一段時間,經過三年的努力,HONDA終於成功開發出進化版本UNI-CUB,並率先運用在日本科學未來館,從今年6月起到2013年3月進行為期9個月的測試。

擁有520×825×745mm尺碼的UNI-CUB,搭載HONDA獨自開發的平衡控制技術(來自ASIMO)與全方位驅動車輪結構(HONDA Omni Traction Drive System),採用鋰離電池為動力源,充飽電後續航力為6km,極速6km/h略比人步行速度高些,但可藉由身體重心調整成等速,另外最大爬坡角度為5度。此外隨著智慧型手機的普及,HONDA也對此進行功能整合,乘坐者可一手拿著利用智慧型手機操作UNI-CUB。

根據日本科學未來館館長、同時也是日本前太空人毛利衛表示,既然已經和智慧手機結合,那麼未來將有可能和GPS衛星導航整合,在特定時間內成為科學未來館解說員的交通工具!所以六月到日本東京觀光的民眾,若想一睹UNI-CUB的真面目,不妨去趟日本科學未來館吧!
