未來前景看好，HONDA Fit/FitHybrid新增馬來西亞產線

基於戰略考量，於2000年馬來西亞成立的HMSB（HONDA Malaysia SDN BHD），可是HONDA在東南亞地區非常重要的生產基地，總年產能達5萬輛，目前負責生產City、Civic、Accord和CR-V，如今看準東南亞市場的需求，並替日後外銷作準備，日前決定導入Fit與Fit Hybrid在當地生產。

目前從日本輸入在馬來西亞販售的Jazz和Jazz Hybrid（Fit和Fit Hybrid），在當地算是高單價進口車，HONDA為了提升在馬來西亞市場的佔有率，以及未來可能會面臨日幣匯率飆漲問題，且原油價格上漲節能車後勢看俏，因此HONDA決定增加馬來西亞生產基地HMSB的產線，導入Jazz和Jazz Hybrid於2012年底實行在地化生產，同時也有可能會外銷到其他市場。

預計在2013年開始啟動的HMSB第二產線，將使總年產能從現在的5萬輛增加至10萬輛，當然也會新雇700名左右的作業員，此舉不但創造更多就業機會解決社會問題，更替HONDA社會形象加分。正因為有了Jazz Hybrid的加入，使得HMSB在馬來西亞的Hybrid車銷售量，從2011年的4600輛提升至2012年的1萬輛規模。這樣的成績使得HONDA在Hybrid領域位居第一。

不過HONDA之所以增加在馬來西亞的投資，很可能與2011年泰國洪災和日本強震有關，畢竟將雞蛋放在同一個籃子風險太大，因此為了分散風險，且馬來西亞有著不錯的市場潛力，因此才會選擇在這個時候進行大手筆投資。
