光榮赴報廢廠！紐約客歡慶30歲HONDA Civic黑色冥壽

當愛車報廢時，通常都是一通電話讓拖車直接載去報廢，或是賤價賣給二手車行，但是讀者們可能沒有見識過紐約人的熱情：一輛1982年的二代HONDA Civic，陪伴Harry Ettling渡過30年的歲月，因過於老舊必須報廢，於是Harry與鄰居舉辦一場別開生面的葬禮，將此車風光地送上拖車載進報廢廠！
品味人士收藏歲數超過20年的老車，於想像中，車型雖然老邁，卻充滿古色古香，雖有點年紀，但是外觀保持良好，內裝也很完整，所有功能正常，外表可能有點擦傷，但是仍保持原漆，內裝有明顯的使用痕跡，但絕非殘破，這才稱得上是一位老車玩家。
然而這輛30年的二代Civic可能不在多數人的期望中，外表殘破、斑駁，所有的塑膠零件早已氧化碎裂，板金凹凸不平，後視鏡也不知掉落於何處，猶如從伊拉克戰爭中僥倖逃過一劫，並順利於沙漠中逃脫的老兵，一副狼狽模樣，堪稱標準的「銅罐車」，就是什麼都會響，唯有喇叭不響！
然而這輛小名「Bluey」的Civic，卻陪伴了Harry的半生，在此歲月中，於80年代歷經三次車禍，但最嚴重的事故莫過於1992年的一次翻車事件，然而這輛Civic依然存活下來沒有「斷氣」！30年後依然可以行駛，但是任何人都可以看的出來，此車已經沒有保留的價值，於是Harry與鄰居們陪著Bluey走完最後的一程，猶如耶穌的最後晚餐，且前方有警車開道，後方有樂隊陪伴，標準的美式葬禮，Bluey應該感到很光榮！
