1990年代HONDA不僅和英國ROVER有著合作關係，更和日本ISUZU展開交互支援的策略，HONDA提供房車給ISUZU，對方則以SUV回報，1993年誕生的Jazz，基本上是雙方合作的第一款車，也就是1990年問世的ISUZU Mu。
由ISUZU生產並掛上HONDA廠徽的Jazz，是一款專為美國市場所開發的SUV，4135×1780×1670mm尺碼和2330mm軸距，可提供四名成人乘坐，方正外觀和簡單內裝為當時的趨勢，畢竟Jazz屬於SUV，底盤結構採用前雙A臂、後葉片彈簧設計，嚴格來說仍以越野為訴求，談不上什麼舒適性，更無法和都會休旅、轎式休旅劃上等號。配備方面並沒有衛星導航這類科技行頭，部分操作鍵置於儀表兩旁，以增加駕駛人的便利性。
動力上僅有一具ISUZU自行開發的3059cc直列四缸SOHC柴油引擎，可發揮120hp/3600rpm、27.5kgm/2000rpm功率，並和五速手排與四速自排搭配組合，驅動模式則有後驅和四驅（配置加力箱）兩種型態，要帶動1730kg的Jazz似乎有點吃力，高速狀態下更凸顯性能不足，引擎運轉精緻度也被受批評。
雖說Jazz掛著HONDA廠徽，但這畢竟不是自家產物，不過HONDA也因此獲得更多4WD和SUV的經驗，因此在CR-V於1995年誕生後，Jazz也在1996年停止販售。
