扳回顏面！HONDA小改款Civic獲得Consumer Reports肯定

一般來說，一輛新車要推出小改款車型，大概也要等個幾年的時間，不過HONDA去年4月份美國紐約車展車推出九代Civic後，卻引來一連串的負面評價，其中在美國相當具權威的Consumer Reports更是對九代Civic毫不留情的大力抨擊，並被該雜誌從推薦名單中除名；當時雖然HONDA仍發出聲明稿來捍衛自家的最新作品，不過現任社長伊東孝紳卻在不久後承認失敗，並開始著手進行重新設計的動作。
如今小改款Civic在短短一年後改頭換面重新登場，當初大力抨擊的Consumer Reports也在第一時間發表了小改款車型的初步評測結果；而很顯然的，HONDA這次可不僅僅只有針對外觀進行重新設計，在許多地方都有著明顯的進步，在Consumer Reports的評測當中，原先許多的缺點都獲得了改善，例如轉向動作不再模糊不清、車室內部的降噪工程也進步許多，同時操駕反應更加靈敏，方向盤也能給與駕駛人更多的路感回饋。
至於在內裝的部份，再原廠捨去了廉價的塑料，改採軟質塑膠並加入許多鍍鉻裝飾之後，整體的感覺也更加精緻，同時除了頂級車型加入了恆溫空調外，全車系更將車尾攝影機導入標準配備，同時車價只小幅上漲160美元（約新台幣4653元），不但相當有誠意，在同級車當中的排名也有不小的提升；只不過Consumer Reports在最後還是不忘再刺HONDA一下，表示「HONDA在一開始就該推出這樣的車」。
雖然小改款前的Civic在美國並不受好評，但仍然能夠打出開低走高的銷售成績，而在小改款的動作後，九代Civic在各方面的表現更加優異，能不能藉此氣勢創下更漂亮的銷售數字，就有待後續觀察了。
