面對來勢洶洶的Corolla，HONDA已經開始執行新年式Civic的改款計畫

看到這則國外新聞時當下有點摸不著頭緒，因為美規版Civic才在2012年底洛杉磯車展上推出新年式車型而已，怎麼這麼快就又要小改款。原來這一切都是為了因應全新第11代TOYOTA Corolla所做的調整，不過HONDA就算從現在開始調整Civic的小改款項目，相信最快也要到後年2015後才會登場。

最令人好奇的是，既然小改款Civic的消息已經傳出，那到底會和現行款有甚麼不同呢？根據HONDA北美地區業務營運長Tetsuo Iwamura表示，未來小改款Civic將會導入HONDA新世代潔能動力技術「Earth Dreams Technology」。而這技術理念最早出現於2011年，以最新技術的HONDA VTEC引擎加上全新開發的變速系統，達到降低碳排放與提升油耗的優勢。

換句話說，未來Civic將會搭載Earth Dreams Technology技術的減重15％新引擎架構與VCM、VTC等先進燃油控制系統，搭配全新開發的Earth Dreams CVT無段變速系統，以動態變速感應和高感度油壓感知系統的雙重輔助下，讓駕駛人依照自身的駕駛風格獲得最佳的動力傳輸與操控樂趣，並保有出色的燃油表現。

說了這麼多小改款Civic可能搭載的新技術後，會不會影響到現行車款的銷售呢？HONDA雖然釋出了這些訊息，卻並沒有表明小改款Civic的發表時間。由於2012年底才發表新年式車型，所以推斷小改款車型最快也要到後年也就是2015年才有機會亮相。一來第11代Corolla的銷售熱潮已經趨於穩定，二來Civic在此時也才會有足夠的產品實力再衝刺。
