    打造世界統一規格,HONDA Accord商品開發責任者代理杉元順二專訪

1983年成為HONDA家族一員的杉元順二,1986年起陸續擔任Accord、Civic、Today、Logo等車款的開發,23011年擔任第九代Accord商品開發責任者代理者,對於Accord,杉元順二可是放入相當多的情感。

2012年問世的第九代Accord,似乎回歸原點,以單一規格於全球銷售,對此杉元順二說:「過去Inspire和Accord兩款雙生車在不同的市場需求下,分別以美規、歐規、亞規、日規的形態,並以Accord之名在各地市場販售,雖然有著符合消費者需求的定位和面貌,卻無法形成統一規格,因此在諸多考量和評估下,決定不再劃分多種形態,而是以單一規格成為HONDA世界戰略車,也因此無論哪種規格,都和第九代Accord有著相同的型體,頂多在細部做些區隔。」

同時他也表示:「第九代Accord在開發初期便召集全球設計工程人員,並聆聽各地市場的需求,也進行長時間的市場調查,畢竟接下來是以單一規格形態販售,所以要開發出能滿足世界各個市場消費者口味的產品,因此對於開發人員來說是一大挑戰。」

至於第九代Accord何以改變懸吊結構,從第八代的前後雙A臂改為前麥弗遜、多連桿設計?杉元順二解釋:「雙A臂是不錯的懸吊,但結構複雜又佔去不少空間,對於空間上有不少影響;同時第九代Accord並非將操控樂趣擺在開發首位,而是提供舒適與節能,所以才會採用前麥弗遜、多連桿結構,舉例來說,麥弗遜懸吊在重量上少了15kg,對於輪胎與震動上的壓力都減輕不少,另外也爭取更多的空間配置,所以乘坐或者置物空間都比第八代要進步許多。」此外對於Accord首度採用CVT變速箱,杉元順二表示:「HONDA在動力系統有不少選擇,都是基於嶄新的Earth Dreams Technology的原則下,也就是在性能、經濟性取得平衡,且這具G-Design CVT經過重新調校與設計下,將傳統CVT的缺點一掃而空,反而帶給消費者更貼近傳統自排的感覺,無論加速性或者反應都有別市面上的CVT,對此HONDA相當有信心,應該不會令消費者失望。」

最後問及對Accord的感覺,杉元順二感性地說:「在HONDA只要負責Accord開發,眾人便會投以羨慕的眼光,因為在HONDA的企業中,Accord的地位之崇高絕非言語可形容,也因此我以Accord為榮,當然這也是我在職場上的最大驕傲。」
