英國房車錦標賽明年3月30點燃戰火，HONDA Civic Tourer BTCC廠車現真身

第57屆2014 BTCC（British Touring Car Championship）英國房車錦標賽即將於明年3月30日點燃戰火，長達7個月的賽季、10個周末的激烈對決，而近來相當積極投入國際賽事的HONDA，也早已表態要參加本屆賽事，並且確定將以新世代歐規Civic Tourer為基礎，打造本賽事唯一一輛以旅行車型參賽的廠車，隨著前些日子緊鑼密鼓的偽裝測試，近日終於披上正式塗裝以實車身分亮相。

新款Civic Tourer BTCC廠車，將完全依據Next Generation Touring Car(簡稱NGTC)賽車規範所打造，搭載可輸出300hp最大馬力的2.0L四缸渦輪增壓汽油引擎、COSWORTH ECU，搭配XTRAC六速序列式變速箱、AP碳纖維離合器與制動系統、18吋光頭胎，車長至少4400mm、車寬上限1875mm等規範，主要考量在於降低車隊成本，並提升動力系統耐久度與賽車安全性。

由於2012年專司生產車用及工業用電瓶的YUASA與HONDA Racing簽訂了三年的贊助合約，成為車隊頭銜贊助商，隊名因此更改為「Honda Yuasa Racing Team」，所以今年塗裝依舊是相當顯眼的紅白混合色調塗裝。

在車手部分依舊由Gordon Shedden以及擁有BTCC冠軍頭銜的Matt Neal組成，首戰將在明年3月30日於英國Brands Hatch Indy賽道點燃戰火，再依序轉往Donington Park、Thruxton、Oulton Park、Croft、Snetterton、Knockhill、Rockingham、Silverstone等國際賽道舉行，最終站將在10月12日於Brands Hatch Grand Prix賽道上進行，漫長的賽季，不只考驗著選手的臨場反應、抗壓性，也考驗著賽車部門對於每場賽事的精準調校，以面對如此高張力的賽事。
