2014日內瓦車展搶先報：熱血沸騰，第一張HONDA Civic Type R廠圖前導

對於一個HONDA車迷來說Type R在他們心中就是最高的性能指標。2013年11月日本HONDA搶先曝光全新Civic Type R原型車後，就代表各方期待已久量產車型即將到來。就在2014年日內瓦車展前夕HONDA也釋出了第一張Civic Type R廠圖，清楚點明在不久的將來就會亮相發表。

從這張預覽廠圖來看，即便只有車尾的樣貌但仍可發現與Civic Type R原型車有些不同。因為它有著更高聳且面積更寬的尾翼設計，即便保桿下方依然維持四出尾管與下分流器，不過造型稍稍有所變動並在中央加入紅色後霧燈。至於霸氣十足的寬體車身，在後輪拱部份也增加了導流孔，讓車尾整體的性能氣勢十足。
其它細節方面雖然HONDA並沒有多透露，但從先前的車輛資料來看Civic Type R未來會搭載一具排氣量2.0L直列四缸渦輪引擎，因為訴求Type R高性能的車型定位，因此HONDA會將VTEC（可變氣門正時與揚程電子控制系統）經過特別調校，再匹配渦輪增壓系統最大馬力可望來到277hp、峰值扭力40.8kgm的境界。
至於變速系統方面，已經確定的是未來將有6速手排變速系統可選，可讓Civic Type R從靜止加速到100km/h僅需約6秒就能完成，極速上看250km/h，不過HONDA全新開發的雙離器變速系統會不會導入目前還尚未清楚。也因為新技術與渦輪增壓系統的輔助下，全新Civic Type R不僅動力充沛更會有近16km/L的油耗表現，亦能符合歐盟EU6的排放規範。
