鞏固美國市場，HONDA墨西哥廠開始量產新世代Fit

即便早在1995年HONDA在墨西哥地區就設立了一座車輛生產廠，用來應付當地以及美國地區的車輛銷售需求，不過隨著市場成長與日本產能不足的情勢下，單一廠的生產供應早就不符合需求。因此HONDA於2011年時宣佈再投資8億美元在墨西哥地區增設一座生產廠，首要任務就是生產第三代Fit。
日前HONDA特地發出新聞稿表示，這座位於墨西哥Calaya新蓋的廠房已經在2014年2月21日開始生產Fit。遵循日本原廠所投資的8億美元資金規劃，未來這座廠房的年產量將達到20萬輛之多，不僅可供給美國地區的銷售需求，南美洲等其它市場也都能一並應付且在地生產的模式，更能降低運送成本、增加利潤。
對此，日本HONDA汽車總裁兼執行長伊東孝紳表示，我們位於墨西哥的新廠房，是基於全球相同的高品質生產模式來組裝車輛，並提供合理的售價讓客戶滿意。因此在Calaya廠也依然一貫的核心價值，更有著HONDA最高指導原則與生產效率。看來Fit就算只是都會小車，一但走出海外到墨西哥生產，也一樣不能讓消費者失望。
至於墨西哥廠所生產的Fit，是2013年9月於日本發表的全新第三代車型，其更優於上代的設計與內部乘坐空間的改善，讓Fit在日本市場推出後成為暢銷排行榜上的常客。美國地區也在2014年底特律車展上首度展示美規版本的Fit，並預定在2014年第一季開始銷售。現在墨西哥廠開始生產後，首批美國車主也將很快的就會拿到自己的新車。
