年底前在台上市！HONDA Fit獲IIHS Top Safety Pick測試佳績

圓潤飽滿的身形、是小車卻有難能可貴的靈活空間運用，HONDA自2001年推出Fit以來便深獲日本、美國及其他東南亞國家喜愛，台灣的部份亦在2008年10月正式引進第2代車型國產發表；但在歷經多個寒暑漫長等待後，新世代Fit也終將在年底前進行發表，而遠在太平洋的彼岸，美國IIHS則為台灣消費者強力背書，為其進行了上市前全身健檢！
但事實上，自第一代車型發表以來Fit在美國NHTSA 測試標準下均獲得4-5顆星的高水準表現，尤其在正副駕駛座及側面撞擊的成績前兩代車型都拿到了5顆滿分成績，足見在HONDA的造車理念中可不僅只有駕駛樂趣而已，更力求人車一體的高安全層級，而新世代車型在IIHS的嚴苛測試下更獲得Top Safety Pick的最佳成績。
3955×1695×1525mm的身形和2530mm軸距，新Fit在尺碼上的消長其實與台灣目前販售的車型並沒有太大的差異，但30mm的軸距增長幅度下，預料新車在車室空間的表現將會更好，且軸距拉長下駕馭起來應更舒適的多。而在IIHS的測試下，新車僅於前方小偏位撞擊（Small overlap front）獲得Acceptable的成績，但其他包含正面偏位撞擊（Moderate overlap front）、側撞甚至是車頂強度和頸椎防護等項目均奪得Good的最佳表現。

而若在與過去其他年式的車型相較，新Fit不僅加強以往為人所詬病的車頂強度，包含整個前方潰縮區、A柱等處均有顯著的進化，獲得Top Safety Pick實至名歸。不過由於IIHS特於今年將前方碰撞預警系統（front crash prevention）的防護效果列入更高階的Top Safety Pick+的挑戰項目裡，是故新Fit未搭載相關輔助設備，無法獲得最高等級之成績也屬情有可原。
