2014洛杉磯車展報導：動力確認搭載1.8L i-VTEC，美規HONDA HR-V發表

被HONDA視為全球戰略車款的Vezel，自2013年底於日本發表之後就積極前往各市場亮相，包括鄰近的中國、美國、巴西、歐洲等地。其中重要的美國地區，除了會以HR-V之名銷售之外，更早就在2014年4月底就前往紐約車展以概念車之姿現身。現在2014年11月洛杉磯車展開幕後，HONDA也進一步確認HR-V在美國的銷售事宜。
據了解，HR-V將在2015年第一季開始在美國市場銷售，而同級對手將指向CHEVROLET Trax、MAZDA CX-3而來。在車輛外觀設計方面，依照紐約車展概念車的樣貌，僅與日規車型在水箱護罩上有所調整，其餘像是後略式頭燈、轎跑車型的外貌、後門隱藏把手以及全車動感的線條等，都依照原本設計精髓呈現。
動力方面美國販售的HR-V將會搭載一具1.8L SOHC直列四缸i-VTEC汽油引擎，具備138hp/6500rpm最大馬力以及17.5kgm/4300rpm峰值扭力輸出，並配備CVT無段變速系統以及全時四輪傳動系統，至於6速手排則只有前輪驅動車型才有搭載。當然HR-V也全面標配VSA車身動態穩定控制系統以及牽引力控制系統（4WD）。
雖然美國HR-V售價尚未公佈，不過HONDA已經完成LX、EX、EX-L三種車型的販售模式，基本車型標配電動窗、電動收折後視鏡、倒車攝影鏡頭、鋁合金輪框以及定速巡航系統等。高階車型則能選配到中控台7寸多功能顯示幕、免鑰匙啟動、換檔撥片、加熱座椅與真皮內飾等。最後HR-V會在墨西哥Celaya生產製造，但目前依然還是與台灣市場無緣。
