HONDA地球夢陣線終要健全！2018年再推第二階段美夢！

2015底特律車展HONDA以全新NSX驚艷全場，隨後更發表關於品牌旗下的動力系統Earth Dreams的未來走向，並表示蘊釀已久的直列四缸V-TEC渦輪增壓直噴引擎將在今年底問世。此外HONDA還宣佈第二階段的Earth Dreams計畫，其中包含一部純EV動力車款、Plug In Hybrid動力車款及第二階段的Hybrid動力系統陣容。
HONDA在過去就一直擁有優異的引擎打造技術，並且相當擅長以小排氣量壓榨大馬力，更有獨門的VTEC汽門揚程可變技術，藉由精確的油門、轉速監控等，試算出最精準的氣門開度，並以可變凸輪軸達到全速域的動力提昇。時至今日，消費者對於環保意識抬頭，新世代引擎不再是一昧壓榨動力，並僅限於性能上的著墨，更重要的是如何以最低的耗能達到最大目的，大幅提升其效率，因此HONDA也在2011年時發表Earth Dreams動力技術，並藉由多種品牌掌握的尖端技術打造出超高環保效能的新世代引擎。
在Earth Dreams技術應用的範疇中，不僅限於一般自然進氣引擎，更有渦輪增壓、一般油電混合、插電式混合動力等多種面貌，其中醞釀許久卻一直沒有正式亮相的Earth Dreams VTEC直噴渦輪引擎，終於要在2015年底時亮相，補齊地球夢動力陣線，並且將提供超越現有水平的性能及燃油效率現身。而這具新世代的渦輪直噴引擎將在今年於美國俄亥俄州的工廠進行投產。
除此之外，HONDA也表示，將在2018年時推出第二階段的Earth Dreams科技動力系統，其中包括一套純EV動力的系統，並會搭載於一部全新車款上，另外也會有一套全新的Plug In Hybrid系統及三種規格的Hybrid技術導入旗下的產品線，以幫助HONDA及早達成Blue Skies for our children的永續經營理念。
