從2014年日內瓦車展Civic Type R Concept概念車現身以來，HONDA強勢回歸性能市場的決心，不僅堅定更具新話題性。現在一年過後2015年日內瓦車展上，量產版本Civic Type R也即將發表，這意味著Civic Type R將在2015年某時開售，讓所有過往「紅底/銀H廠徽」的車迷們，難掩興奮心情。

就在2015年日內瓦車展前夕，HONDA終於吐露三張量產版Civic Type R廠照。遵循概念車搶眼的空力套件，量產Civic Type R車頭依然有可增加穩定性的大面積下擾流造型，並與中央水箱護罩周圍採用對比車色（黑/白）的設計形式，以及碩大紅底/銀H廠徽，全面彰顯Civic Type R的性能氣勢。

再來第二張廠照中，點出Civic Type R在操控層面上的精進，輪框不僅採用19吋規格，Brembo對四活塞煞車卡鉗、350mm通風碟盤的搭配，點明其Civic Type R穩固的操駕特性，且一旁的車身葉子版外擴造型，亦道出加寬輪距對車輛操控的整體訴求。最後，顯目且清晰的三環儀表資訊螢幕，除了中央7000rpm以後的紅線區外，左方的「＋R」按鍵更是引人遐想其功能目的。

然而HONDA依然沒有透露Civic Type R最終的性能規格，不過卻小提及此車的極速可達167mph（270km/h）的表現。雖然各方資訊都點出Civic Type R會搭載2.0L i-VTEC直列四缸渦輪增壓引擎，且最大馬力將超過280hp，不過若真的繼續維持過往的前輪驅動設定，那車輛動態整體的表現才是Civic Type R最大重點。
